Tabor Condemns Gay Marriage Decision by
Massachusetts Supreme Court

“ This Decision Illustrates Need to Elect a Committed Conservative to Congress Who Does Not Accept Financial Support or endorsements from Groups Advocating Homosexual Marriage”

Kernersville, NC –Conservative Nathan Tabor condemned the decision yesterday by the Massachusetts Supreme Court telling state lawmakers that only “full equal marriage rights” for homosexuals would be acceptable.

“ What was once the unthinkable is now on the verge of becoming reality in Massachusetts,” said Tabor. “Yesterday’s decision in Massachusetts only serves to undermine the very important role that marriage holds in our society. Now more than ever, it is necessary for Congress to pass an amendment to the Constitution that defines marriage as being between one man and one woman.”

Tabor also commented on how yesterday’s decision further illustrated the need to elect a committed conservative to Congress in North Carolina’s Fifth Congressional District.

“ At some point in the future, Congress will likely be called upon to pass legislation addressing this important issue,” said Tabor. “When that time comes, it will be vitally important to have members of Congress who are committed to defending traditional marriage. Unfortunately, there are some politicians who say they support traditional marriage only to turn around and accept donations from the very same gay and lesbian organizations advocating for homosexual marriage and who accept endorsements from board members of organizations that advocate homosexual marriages. This decision illustrates the need to elect a committed conservative to Congress who does not accept financial support or endorsements from groups working for homosexual marriage. Unlike other candidates in this race, I have never taken any money or endorsementes from any gay organization, nor would I ever.”

“ If I am elected by the citizens of the Fifth Congressional District as their next member of Congress, I will work tirelessly to protect and defend traditional marriage between one man and one woman.”
