Tabor Launches Media Campaign

Taborís Straightforward Approach Shows Contrast with Rest of the Field

Kernersville, NC ñ Nathan Tabor, 2004 GOP candidate for the 5th congressional district in the House of Representatives, announced today his campaignís latest advertising initiative. The television buy showcases three different commercials focusing on ìcoreî conservative issues and all have Tabor speaking directly to his television audience.

ìWith all the gimmickry and misrepresentation during this campaign by some of my opponents, we wanted to demonstrate to our television audience that they can expect straight talk from me as a candidate and a Congressman. There is nothing flashy about our commercials. It is simply our message in a straightforward manner,î said Tabor.

ìWhat you see is what you get. I am pro-life, pro-family, pro-second amendment rights, and anti-tax. There is no need to dress it up. We wanted to talk to people ëstraight upí about issues they care about most. We have done that throughout the campaign,î Tabor added.

The television ads mark the first for Tabor while other candidates have been on television for months. According to Jason Saine, campaign coordinator, the ads from opponents do not seem to have offered much to voters. ìIn our door to door campaign, we have had very few people acknowledge some of the campaigns that are already on the air. It seems to me that what people have seen so far from the other campaigns has failed to impress them,î said Saine. ìOne thing is for sure, our commercials donít have ëspecial guest appearancesí by individuals who have no idea they are in a campaign commercial. Our campaign is proud to have our candidate tell you exactly where he stands and what he will do if elected. We do not feel the need to ëdupeí voters into believing something about our campaign that is not true,î Saine said referring to Tabor opponent Ed Broyhillís attempt to portray Franklin Graham as an endorsee of his campaign.

ìThere are over 50% of the voters in the 5^th District who are still undecided. That means the message of other candidates or the message bearer hasnít been received. Our goal is to show the voters there is an alternative,î said Tabor.

ìWe offer something different and voters will hear what our campaign is all about. We want to engage voters, not insult them. We are a different kind of campaign,î concluded Tabor.
