Reagan Cabinet Member Appears with 5^th District Congressional Candidate Nathan Tabor

Kernersville, NC ñ Former Attorney General Edwin Meese appeared as the guest of 5^th Congressional District candidate Nathan Tabor at a reception that occurred Thursday, March 25 at the Omni Charlotte Hotel.

Meese spoke about the need to get the American economy moving again. ìTaxation, spending, and regulations are hurting America. Iím impressed to see Nathan has a plan for cutting all three.î He jokingly referred to the abundance of regulations by adding, ìFor every law we pass, we should rescind another.î

Meese explained that there are two wars facing America todayÖa war on terrorism and a domestic war on morals and values. ìWe need a morally strong nation, not just a militarily strong nation. We are in a battle for Americaís soul. If we lose our spiritual soul, we have lost far more than a battle, we have lost the war.î

The continued rise of judicial activism was another topic where Meese pointed to an anti-religious bias spreading across America that is using the courts to progress an agenda. ìThe homosexual agenda, for example, is being actively pursued. They can not pass their agenda legislatively, so they have turned to activist judges to impose their agenda without a vote from the people.î He continued by explaining the need to work on influencing Senators to confirm President Bushís judicial nominees.

He ended the discussion saying how impressed he is with Nathan Tabor as both a candidate and a person. ìItís not just how they vote, but what they stand for as members of the community they represent. Nathan Tabor is a committed Christian, a successful businessman, a civic leader, a family man, a patriot, and a voice we need in Congress.î He urged those in attendance to work hard to spread Nathanís message. ìWe need lots of Nathan Tabors in Congress.î
