Tabor
Campaign Hosts Bowling Events for Homeschool Families Across the 5th
District
Tabor has been endorsed by Mike Farris, who is Chief Counsel of the Home School Legal Defense Association, the Home School Legal Defense Association PAC and the Madison Project, a homeschooling PAC which endorses and raises money for conservative candidates. The events were an opportunity to connect homeschool families with Nathan Tabor and a chance for Tabor to learn more about issues that families are faced with when educating children at home. Tabor said, ìThese bowling events are a fun way to get to speak with people about their families and to learn of their success stories. It is also a chance for moms and dads to network and share resources. The most impressive part of these events were the questions from the young people. It is a good reflection on the parents about how informed our youth are when it comes to issues. I am glad that we could do this for them. Speaking of youth, all the event planning, invitations and phone calls were organized by a 16 year old homeschooler. That is leadership.î ìWhen scheduling these events our goal was to get 20 people at each event. Needless to say I was extremely encouraged by the number of people who showed up. This shows our message is being well received,î said Tabor. Events were held in North Wilkesboro, Boone, Statesville and Rural Hall. Tabor was homeschooled as a child, and said he knows that ìParents -- not Washington, D.C. or Raleigh bureaucrats -- should make the final decision regarding their childrenís education.î For more information about Nathan Tabor and his campaign, those interested are encouraged to call (336) 993-0929 or visit www.taborforcongress.com. ### |
